Arrest in Burglary Case

Etowah County, AL - On February 17, 2025, Anthony Prince, a Walnut Grove man, was arrested and charged with burglary in the 3rd degree and theft of property in the 1st degree, both felonies, according to Sheriff Jonathon Horton.

Prince's arrest is the result of an ongoing investigation into the theft of several items, including a vehicle, from a property located on Murphree Valley Road. After a thorough investigation, investigators were able to identify Prince as a suspect through fingerprint evidence processed by the JSU Center of Applied Forensics.

The stolen vehicle has since been recovered and returned to its rightful owner.

Prince is currently being held at the Etowah County Detention Center with a bond set at $7,500.00.

"This is another example of our dedicated efforts to bring those responsible for criminal activity to justice," said Sheriff Jonathon Horton. "We are committed to utilizing every resource at our disposal to solve these cases and protect our community."
