(Etowah County, Alabama) A Hokes Bluff man was arrested and charged in connection to stolen property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Brian Scott Mosley, 26, of Hokes Bluff, is charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of second degree theft of property, two counts of second degree receiving stolen property, all are felonies,” says Investigator Fred Lasseter. “Mosley is also charged with one count of third degree receiving stolen property and one count of third degree theft by deception which are misdemeanors.”
Mosley allegedly had stolen items at his residence, on Bachelors Chapel Road, that were taken from various burglaries and thefts in the Alford Bend community.
Items found included two Toshiba TVs, a Yamaha saxophone, reciprocal saw, two cordless drills and batteries, an outdoor wild game camera and chain saw. The stolen property was identified as items taken from local churches, residential storage buildings and the field house at Hokes Bluff High School.
The majority of stolen property was recovered and returned to the rightful owners.
Sheriff Entrekin adds, “I am grateful for the community’s assistance with this case. Their support of Hokes Bluff detective Tyler Roe and Sheriff’s Office investigators Fred Lasseter and Lee Amerson made this arrest possible.”
Mosley is currently detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $12,000 property bond.
